Stephen Cafiero

Stephen M. Cafiero is a managing director at Alternative Investment Group responsible for new business development and partner relations.  He joined the firm in March 2010.

Prior to joining Alternative Investment Group, Steve was managing director of Investor Relations at Century Atlantic Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund based in New Canaan , CT.

Before Century Atlantic, Steve was a director at Boomerang Capital, a boutique third party marketing firm based in Rowayton, CT.  While at Boomerang, Steve was involved in all aspects of business development for the firm’s client funds.  Strategies represented included long/short equity, event-driven, emerging markets, asset-backed lending, global macro, relative value energy trading and commodities.  Prior to Boomerang, Steve spent over twenty years as a sales and marketing executive in the technology sector, holding a variety of positions at AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Equant Network Services.

Steve holds a B.S. in Business from the State University of New York at Oswego and an M.B.A. from Pace University.   Steve has been an executive board member of the Wilton Basketball Association since 2007 and has served in a fundraising capacity for A Better Chance of Wilton.
