Eugene Chin, CPA

Eugene Chin, DIrector of Fund Accounting, works on fund accounting and operations, interacts closely with the firm’s external service providers, and assists with various compliance matters.  He joined the firm in June 2007. 

Prior to joining Alternative Investment Group, Gene was a Senior Fund Accountant at FrontPoint Partners, a multi-strategy, alternative investment firm.  Before FrontPoint, Gene was a Portfolio Analyst at SAC Capital Advisors, a multi-strategy, private asset management firm.  At both firms, he performed monthly closings, product pricing, performance analysis and reporting.  Gene’s other work experience includes positions as an Accounting Manager at GE Real Estate and as a Staff Auditor at Deloitte & Touche.  

Gene holds a B.S. in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the School of Business at the University of Connecticut.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut and serves on the Board of Directors of a local non-profit organization.
